ABOUT

Hey, I'm Corey. Thanks for stopping by. I’d love to share my story, so here’s the short version. The longer version is below.

I'm an outdoorsman with a penchant for all things creative. As a photographer, videographer, and graphic designer with a lust for adventure, I find much of my inspiration to create outside amongst towering old growth trees, gushing crystal creeks, and deep, fresh snow.

After five years co-creating and maintaining a hybrid retail/lifestyle shop, I've been documenting the world and seeking out stories as I go.

I strive to give a voice to those without, advocate for social and environmental justice, and share the stories of the people and the environment that inspire me.

My motto: Climb high. Seek truth. Have fun!

Long Version:

My name is Corey Warren and I’m an interdisciplinary creative based in Seattle. I was raised by a single mother in the heart of Idaho’s mountain country with a boundless opportunity for adventure and creative expression in the outdoors. I was fortunate enough to attended a private liberal arts college preparatory school in Sun Valley, whose mission is to “inspire students to think critically, engage confidently, embrace challenges, and lead impactful, purposeful lives.” I graduated from Western Washington University in 2008 with a BA in New Media, and skateboarded directly from the ceremony to my new shop downtown to meet my partner and get the keys to our first business, which was the beginning of one of most informative chapters of my life.

INNATE was a lifestyle oriented retail and screen printing shop that I co-founded with my partner in 2008 as an attempt to synthesize the arts and outdoor cultures into a retail environment with a mission of celebrating the innate qualities in each individual. We were deeply passionate about the ethos of our brand and the intention we put into every aspect of the company. For five years INNATE led the Bellingham experience market as we brought an explosive revitalization of creativity to the sleepy college town, by way of public events, fundraising for various local organizations through art-exhibitors in our gallery, and keeping the youth engaged in the evenings with free live music on the weekends. We maintained a full-stack screen printing shop and serviced a large contingent of the downtown businesses’ design and printing needs, all the while running an apparel brand with seasonal campaigns and collaborations. INNATE was the birth and growth into my creative young-adulthood, and it provided me space to explore my capabilities and build the foundations of a beautiful synthesis of art and business which I subscribe to today.

Following the dissolution of INNATE, I took the most successful design of the apparel line and turned it into its own brand, called IdahomeTM, which has been running strong since 2013 and provides a substantial part of my income and creative capital. I maintain a combined following of about twenty thousand followers and have worked with the Zumiez retail chain as well as a handful of smaller merchants throughout Idaho. I’m proud of my brand and it represents my love for the panhandled land I love. Sharing my passion for art, design, photography and clothing through Idahome is an important piece of my creative narrative and personal happiness, and provides me a community of online and real-life that supports my lifestyle.

Since 2014 I have been producing video and photographic content under my media company Live More Creative, which specializes in destination marketing and outdoor/ adventure based content creation. Whether assisting, shooting or producing, domestically or in a foreign country, this is where all of my creative experience comes together. My most recent projects have been for clients such as REI, Forsake, Amazon, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Seattle Children’s, MSR, Match Stick Productions, T-Mobile and Matador Network. The entire process is a full-body creative workout and I am ravenous for telling impactful stories, commercial and narrative. I’m currently working to launch a full-length documentary around a topic I’m passionate about here in the Northwest, which I’d be happy to share in person. Production is the ultimate synergy of all of my creative skills, where design, story-telling, teamwork and strategy all come together in a full sensory experience, and where I’m happy to say I’ve found my groove.

It’s not about you, it’s about the people around you.
